Botanical Garden of Porto, Portugal

In one right botanical garden should have: a lot of different plants, lot of live water, some dead trees, ruins, secret places and mystery.
Porto Botanical Garden in Portugal has it all.

This is undoubtedly the best botanical garden I have ever seen - three different planes, highly skilfully planned, well-groomed, but somehow cozy - is a very special place to visit.

Come along with me and watch my short video about that garden:

Botanical Garden of University of Tartu, Estonia

University of Tartu Botanical Garden in Estonia (http://www.botaanikaaed.ut.ee/en/content/garden) is definitely worth to visit (established 1803).
Although it is located in the small area (only 3,5 ha), it is anyway very interesting and there are lot of exciting plants.

The garden is suitable for all - for people who want to look just pretty plants and also for specialists.

So - if you will come in to Estonia in some beautiful day, I suggest you to visit that garden too.

Please feel free to watch my short video about that garden - outside and inside part.

The Bahá'í Gardens, Haifa, Israel

In Haifa, Israel we can find some wonderful gardens (http://www.ganbahai.org.il/en/haifa/).
The architect of the gardens is Fariborz Sahba, who started design of the gardens in the 1987.
For the public they were opened in 2001.

The gardens are covering about 200 000m2 and they are extended up the side of Mount Carmel.

There are quite lot of species and you can find a different plants from there - although the topiary is not as strong as I thought.
But there are lot of interesting succulents.

If you visiting Haifa - visit the gardens as well - they are worth it.

Few problems I noticed - some gates are closed - so - you need to go round to some part of gardens and some parts of gardens are opened only in a certain time (check the homepage).
Also - there are some limits for the visitors - clothing and behavior should be polite, you can not eat in the gardens, as well smoking and shewing gum is prohibited.
As well as you can not take your pets with you in the gardens.

But the enter is free and gardens are interesting - enjoy your visit!
You can also watch my short video about the gardens:

Movie - "Trees around Us"

We may be happy that we are living in the time period when we have still a trees around us - even in urban areas.

But sometimes it may happen that we do not care about them as much as they need.
Then it is good to think - what would happen then when there are no trees around us?
What kind of life quality we would have then?

Trees around Us

How important they are?
Why we need them and what can we do for their prosperity and security?
How to deal with them properly?

Movie "Trees around Us" gives answers.
The movie is in Polish and with Estonian subtitles - sorry for that.

Established in 1690s it still have some original topiary from that time period, so - over 300 years old.

The collection is superb and definitely worth to visit.
So - if you are by chance in Cumbria, visit that garden.

The Botanical Garden of Tel Aviv University, Israel

The Botanical Garden of Tel Aviv University (http://botanic.tau.ac.il/?lang=en) is established in 1973 and it is covering about 34 000 m2 area and about 3 800 species of plants.

As I have visited several Botanical Gardens - I must say that the Botanical Garden of Tel Aviv is not very well presented and maintained.

Of course - there are interesting species and rare plants.
Also - there is a quit big collection of cacti.

It was a pity that the tropical house was closed when I visited it in 2016 December.

Feel free to watch my short video about that garden.

Näiteks Hispaania ettevõte Arkyne Technologies on selles osa tegemas huvitavaid edusamme - nende kodulehe andmetel võib peatselt oodata põnevaid tooteid rohelise energia tootmise osas.
